WHO WE ARE

Strathmore Soccer Association is the evolution of a need for sport in our community, with roots as early as 1931. A club was formed by more than 30 participants who attended a meeting at the King Edward Hotel in June of 1931, with the first game being July 1st, 1931. We official became a registered not for profit society in Alberta in September, 1998 under the name Strathmore Minor Soccer Federation, and was granted a name change to Strathmore Soccer Association by Alberta Registries in July of 2020. Regardless or our official legal name, we have been known as Strathmore Soccer for as long as we can remember.

We started out as, and continue to be a group of individuals who want to provide an equal opportunity for all community members to be able to enjoy and appreciate the sport of soccer. The SSA is a volunteer ran program, from our dedicated Board Members to our knowledgeable Coaching Teams. The SSA’s focus is to provide activity and fitness to people of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels while promoting a fun and building relationships that last on and off the pitch. Our ambitions are to help create great people and then great soccer players, striving to follow our mantra of Play Safe, Work Hard, and Have Fun at all ages and levels of play.

If you would like to contribute to the growth and development of our programming and players, we would love to have that discussion. To start the conversation, email info@strathmoresoccer.ca.
