Outdoor U12 - U19 - 2012-2005

Applicable to players of all skill levels our Club program teams participate in the Calgary Minor Soccer Association. - $400

Offering more diversity because we play in the Calgary League with more teams at our same age grouping. Depending on the number of players who register multiple teams and mixed or gender specific sides may be formed. All away games are played in Calgary, and all practices and home games are located in Strathmore at the Ranch Market Soccer Fields.  Please note under the Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA) League, we have no control over when games will be scheduled. Practices will be worked around game schedules. We find out the game schedule is just the same as everyone else, when it goes live on CMSA's website.

NEW: There are a few things we are changing up this outdoor season

  1. As with many clubs, our organization is based on volunteerism; in fact without it, there wouldn't be soccer in Strathmore. As such, we are implementing a mandatory volunteer points system. To opt out  of volunteering is $100, the funding from this fee will help cover the costs of paying wages for an individual to get the tasks completed. If you opt to volunteer to earn 20 points throughout the season, you may choose from a full point coverage task, or to choose to pick up tasks as they are presented on the app. There will be some full point opportunities  of opportunity to help out in small ways, making a huge positive impact on our organization.

~ Volunteers will submit a $100 POSTDATED (For July 1, 2024) cheque to be returned upon completion of volunteer points. On the chance that a family has not participated in volunteer opportunities, at that point the cheque will be deposited. If you would like to leave the date blank, I will return the cheque and it can be reused for future seasons.

  2. Our soccer club will be doing a mandatory fundraising event (possibly beef jerky). Everyone will get an order form, and the opportunity presell your fundrasier items and earn back this Mandatory Fundrasier Fee.

Description:

This is for players born in 2014-2006. If we have enough players registered, we will split the teams by gender, but if there isn't enough of each gender to make a team, we will run a coed team in the interest of giving everyone the opportunity to play.

  • Often referred to as "Competitive" Soccer, here is where we begin to have higher expectations of our players, including:
    • Updating the Team app to RSVP your players attendance to each practice and games
    • Commitment to participate in practice and games, this is a team sport, we rely on each player to do their part
    • Arriving a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the game (or more if required by the coach).
    • Arriving 5-10 minutes prior to practice to ensure that cleats are done up and water bottles are full
    • Arriving for practices and games dressed and ready to go in appropriate attire.
    • Participate in the stretches and warming up with the team prior to game start
    • Behave in a manner that is representative of Strathmore Soccer and their team
  • We play all our teams in CMSA
  • Practice and home games are in Strathmore, away games are in Calgary and area.
  • U10-U12 have a year end wrap up with CMSA
  • U13-U19 have the potential opportunity to play in Provincials
  • U13-U19 postseason Final 4 CMSA Championship (top 4 teams compete for the #1 League placement)

Program Offerings

  • Includes 2 practices per week pending weather (we play in the rain, but not when there is thunder)
  • Includes 14 - 16 games and plays approx. 7-8 other teams in Calgary
  • Port-o-potties are available on site.

Coach Requirements:

  • This is will be a transition to PARENT COACH led program
  • We will need parents to volunteer as coaches and to travel with the team
  • Coaches will be required to complete coaches training
    • Strathmore Soccer recognizes the importance of investing in our coaches. We will fully reimburse all Coach Training expenses after a coach has volunteered 2 seasons with the club. Of course we hope our coaches will stay longer and progress with their players, learning and developing as they go!
  • Each team will need both a Male and a Female Parent coach
  • This is Mandatory, if we do not have coaches, we do not have any teams to play your children on
